The AASHTOWare Bridge Management software is a Bridge Management System (BMS) owned and licensed by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). This software is now in its fifth major version (version 5.2.1). AASHTO continues to focus on the complete bridge management cycle, including inspection, inventory data collection, and analysis, recommending an optimal preservation policy, predicting needs and performance measures, and developing projects to include in agency capital plans.
Transportation agencies licensing AASHTOWare Bridge Management software use the system in a variety of ways. Users frequently take advantage of the system’s flexibly to customize their implementation to meet their specific needs. AASHTOWare Bridge Management software has two primary versions currently supported, 4.X and 5.X. The 4.X release versions are a 4.4 and 4.5., and the 5.X versions are 220.127.116.11, 5.1.2, 5.1.3 (SP1), and 5.2.1 (SP1).
AASHTO, the Task Force, and the Contractor are involved in a large project to bring these versions’ functionalities together and create a complete version for all AASHTOWare Bridge Management software users’ needs, along with supporting the latest technologies available.
